Explanation of problems you might have encountered with problems 3211 & 3214

Posted by frkstyc at 2007-04-02 13:29:07
The input of problem 3211 is conforming to the specification only by the loosest interpretation.
Repetitions of names of the same colors, which do occur in the input, cannot be inferred to be
existent or nonexistent. The cause is most probably the data generator assumes there is too little
a chance that such repetitions could occur and thus leaves them unchecked, which turns out to be
erroneous. Since unindicated repetitions can hardly be regarded as common practice, the input of
problem 3211 is now considered inappropriate.

The text of problem 3214 is wrong as it was presented during yesterday's contest. It is
inconsistent with the reference solution and the test data. Misunderstanding and mistakes happened
when it was typed into the system.

It has been decided that test data of both problems will be modified. Rejudgement will be started
as soon as new test data are ready.
