[广告] PhD position at Max-Planck Institute for Software SystemsProf. Umut Acar (http://www.mpi-sws.org/~umut/) at Max-Planck Institute for Software Systems is seeking for PhD students to join the Programming Languages and Systems group (PLS). The group is working on the intersection of algorithm, programming language, and system aspects of dynamic and parallel problems. We expect students to have solid background in algorithms, preferably with awards from ICPC or NOI/IOI. Students need to have good English communication skills, though TOEFL or GRE is NOT required. Our admission process is very flexible. Students can start graduate program at any time, and there is no deadline for application. But we do encourage prospective students to apply as early as possible, as the positions are filling up quickly. Although MPI-SWS is located in Germany, our graduate program follows the US standard, and almost all our faculty are coming from top US universities. All students receive fellowship of 1486 Euro/month, and there is enough funding to support conference travels. Students are given full freedom to work on whatever problems they find interesting, and there is no TA/RA responsibility. Detailed information can be found at http://www.mpi-sws.org/~umut/grad-school.html Followed by: Post your reply here: |
