关于未使用的条件[50units]

题目中提到：“George took sticks of the same length and cut them randomly 
until all parts became at most 50 units long.”这个条件如何使用呢，是说明
一个棍长小于51时就不折断它吗?

那这又与给出的例子相冲突了。（原来的棍子必然长度大于50）
还请解出此题的朋友释疑下。
